Retail Training Programme begins with a bang

3rd Eye Knowledge Foundation has conducted the first session in it's certificate programme in retail store operations. The programme will run for 120 hours and will be spread over 5 months. There are 12 participants (MBA students from Semester II and IV of their MBA programmes) who have been succesfully placed as Trainee Retail Executives with a leading lifestyle departmental store and a Designer Diamond Jewellery Company in Mumbai today. After an initial training period of 6 months, the participants will be absorbed in the company's executive cadre.

Participant Profile
A participant possessing experience, drive & demonstrated ability to succeed in their own enterprise, formal degree is not a constraint. CEED is programmed to be of 6 months duration consisting of 48 sessions spread over 24 weekends.

Dr. Raja Roy Choudhury, MSc (Eco), MS (Psychotherapy), MBA, Phd, Certified Lead Auditor, is Former Head, Retail & Executive Education, Russell Square International College, Mumbai having over 22 years of rich experience in Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing, Research, Training & Development in critical domain areas such as IT Education & Consulting, Business Process Redesign & Change Management, TQM & ISO 9000 QMS, International Trade, Immigration & Study Overseas, Media, Office Automation and Retailing. He has served organizations such as Price Waterhouse, Datapro, Aptech, Zeba, AToZ, Times Group in senior management positions before embarking upon an international assignment as CEO, Fuji Xerox in South Pacific. He returned back to India in May, 2006 and since then has been working on research, training and development activities pertaining to the growth of retailing as a sunrise industry in India. There are no specific admission requirements for individuals who wish to be trained in any of the Modules under the 3EKF Certificate in Retail Operations. However, participants are expected to have achieved a certain level of literacy and numeric ability to be able to cope with the course.

Course Duration
The course would run for 120 hours in any of the following formats subject to a minimum number of 25 participants for any (or all) of the options mentioned below:-

Option 1
Weekend program (Saturday/Sunday)
10.00 am till 3.00 pm for 5 hours for 24 weekends spread over 3 months
Option 2
Weekend Program (Saturday/Sunday)
10.00 am till 1.00 pm for 40 weekends spread over 5 months
Option 3
Evening Program (Monday till Friday)
6.30 pm till 8.30 pm for 60 days spread over 3 months

No. of participants
The number of participants should not exceed 25 for effective interaction and comprehension.

Delivery Mechanism
The mode of instruction would be English and delivery mechanism would constitute of LCD projector, PC/Laptop, white boards with marker pens.

Courseware
The courseware would be provided to the candidates in both soft and hard copy.

Course Venue
The course would be held at the 3EKF business partner premises preferably in the conference/training room.

Course Fees
The course fee would be Rs. 50,000/- per participant.

Rs.1000 (non refundable) at time of registration
100% advance on or before 3 days from commencement of the programme, payable to 3rd Eye Knowledge Foundation, Mumbai
